The Role: Senior System Designer / Solution Architect

In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the centre of project delivery, taking responsibility for the technical design and architecture of complex AV systems.

As the Senior System Designer / Solution Architect, you’ll shape solutions from concept through to handover, working across a varied portfolio of creative and technically demanding projects.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior System Designer / Solution Architect, you will:

• Define and oversee the technical structure of projects, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
• Oversee hardware layouts, system schematics and technical details using tools such as AutoCAD.
• Conduct site surveys to gather the information required to create or assess practical technical solutions.
• Validate and refine designs to ensure solutions align with client needs, functionality goals and project feasibility.
• Track bills of materials and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Provide technical input and proposals to support client discussions and business development.
• Suggest improvements to internal processes based on your hands-on experience.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful Senior System Designer / Solution Architect will have:

• Five or more years of experience in AV system design or solution architecture.
• Proficiency in IT tools including Excel, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint.
• Strong CAD skills and the ability to interpret AV and technical drawings.
• Strong organisational skills and experience managing deadlines.
• Familiarity with AV solution design and integration.
• A detail-oriented approach to technical design and documentation.
